All treatments are prescribed at a doctor’s discretion following clinical assessment.
What does it cost?
All consultations are $59. If natural therapies are appropriate, your doctor may prescribe a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Scripts can be fulfilled through our online portal at the standard retail price — no added fees.
Treatment options

Follow up consultations
To continue receiving treatment you'll need to have follow up consultations.
When you need a new prescription or you wish to change a prescription you'll need to have a follow up consulation.
Follow up consultations are done via an online form, followed by a phone call with your Candor Health professional.

Am I eligible?
Certain natural treatments can only be prescribed if specific criteria have been met. The main criteria is as follows:
- You have a health condition that has lasted more than 3 months.
- You've tried unsuccessfully to treat this condition via other means.
While these factors indicate you may be eligible they don't guarantee approval. For example, if you take medications that interact negatively with a certain product it may be deemed unsuitable for you.
Candor provides a free screening before your initial consultation that will help determine your eligibility.

How much is the online visit?
Our standard pricing for consults is $19. This fee covers the cost to have a Candor GP review your responses and suggest treatment options.
What treatments do you offer?
Australian law prevents us from naming specific medications until you have had a consultation with one of our GPs.
Do the treatments work?
There are a number of effective medication options available for cold sores. Based on your responses your Candor GP can help prescribe the right treatment for you. Treatments are based on best available evidence but individual results may vary. If you don’t feel it’s working - let us know!
What about side effects?
We will provide comprehensive information on possible side effects and we require that you review this and consent prior to shipping your medication. If you have any questions you are welcome to discuss these with your Candor GP after you have completed the online assessment.
How much does it cost?
Treatment costs vary depending on the option prescribed and the duration of therapy. Your Candor GP will recommend what’s most appropriate based on your needs.
As a general guide, outbreak treatments start from around $39, with multi-dose options and longer-term preventive plans also available. Pricing will be confirmed during your consultation.
Are cold sores and herpes the same thing?
Both cold sores and herpes are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). There are two types of HSV - HSV1 and HSV2. Cold sores are usually caused by HSV1 and are mostly spread by kissing. Genital herpes are caused by both HSV1 and HSV2 and are mostly spread by sexual activity. At Candor, we can help you manage both.
