FAQs
Allergies occur when the immune system reacts to a substance it perceives as harmful, such as pollen, dust mites, pets or certain environmental triggers. Your clinician will review your symptoms to help identify possible contributing factors.
Some allergy symptoms can be managed through GP-led care at Candor. If your symptoms indicate the need for allergy testing or specialist assessment, your clinician will advise you on the next steps.
The initial online consultation is $19. You'll only pay for the price of your treatment if you choose to go ahead with your treatment plan. The cost of treatment will depend on the medication prescribed and how frequently it needs to be refilled. Your Candor GP will assess your symptoms and recommend a suitable option during your consultation.
As a general guide, prescription allergy treatments typically range from $49 to $159, depending on the type and strength of medication. Your doctor will recommend the most appropriate option during your consultation and provide full pricing details as part of your personalised plan.
You’re welcome to share any treatment experiences or preferences during your consultation, however prescriptions cannot be requested and are not guaranteed. Your doctor will determine whether any option is clinically appropriate for you, based on your medical history and individual circumstances.
No. As with any medical consultation, prescriptions are only provided if a doctor determines they are appropriate for your individual circumstances. All treatment decisions are made in line with clinical best practice and Australian prescribing guidelines.
